Thank you for the valuable public service, sharing this.

History proves the ideas. We've had Pax Romana, Pax Britannica, now Pax Americana.

A few brief lights in a savage world.

In Brazil, just about every funeral service provider is called PAX something or other.

Interesting. A search reveals "Pax" is a common brand name for funeral homes in Brazil.

"Rest in peace," perhaps?

More like: "Peace, my friend. We don´t set the prices. The SYNDICATE does."

Well said.

L from O may have addressed in his excellent writings, but there is also something else going on in the majority of the international organizations and NGOs: They are almost entirely staffed by lefties.

I suspect this is because non-profit organizations attract lefties, along with academic and media organizations. In general, lefties = socialism, righties = free-market economies.

Smart lefties yearn to have a job in media, academia or a foundation; smart righties to make money on Wall Street or in high tech, etc.

For whatever reasons, the Western left has turned on Israel. The international organizations and UN are a part of that.

BTW, President JFK nearly went to a nuke war to stop sovereign Cuba from having missiles tipped with nukes (1962).

I do not blame Israel for trying to prevent Iran, which has proven it will build and use missiles, from getting an a-bomb.

It is an ugly situation, and Trump is a difficult character to trust or admire, but the US President is probably doing the right thing in Iran.

Side note: Trump is Trump. On the other hand, the erstwhile Sunday school teachers (Carter, Obama, Biden) were not cut out to handle Iran.

Precisely. Without an enforcement mechanism, “law” is just feelz.

When contesting a fine for a parking violation, I always try to make use of international law precedent. I also like to pack a crisp apple with my lunch!

Who would imagine that it would be US President Trump---yes, the garish Trump, in all his ostentation---who would actually try to preserve and project the worthy values of Western liberal democracies?

The governments of Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Hamas-occupied Gaza---these are the good guys? Of course not. It is not even an earnest debate. Except in the UN, NGOs, and in some demented corners of academia.

May the Euro-weaklings, and Australia regain the vigor necessary to protect Western liberal values.

Islamo-fascism is not a virtue, it is a curse.

(Of course, there are weaklings in the US too, and leftists. But for now, they are on the back foot.)
