As my schtick is applying history and the evolutionary lens to help understand events, I wrote a post on the background to the barbarities of Hamas. The destruction of Hamas, which is implacably opposed to peace with Israel and has relentlessly acted to sabotage any such possibility, would make a Palestinian state much more likely.

Like Helen, I have written on the recent (failed) attempt to amend the Australian constitution to entrench an Indigenous Voice: once before the Referendum and once after. Also like Helen, I took the latter opportunity to explain why Australia holds such referendums.
